Happy New Year!
Olive here. My sis and I hope you have had a wonderful holiday season and Happy New Year!
Overall, we had a nice, quiet holiday. It was sad not having dad here to celebrate
with us but we tried to keep some of his favorite traditions alive, like singing "Rudolph Got Runover By a Reindeer" in loud, funny voices. It makes us laugh each time. On Christmas Eve, we sat around with eggnog and gingerbread men, which is another tradition. I love dipping the gingerbread men into my eggnog.
We got some nice presents on Christmas. We each got a couple new books, some new movies, etc.
We didn't really do much for New Years Eve, besides watch movies and eat Chinese food-yum!
School vacations seem to go by way too fast, don't you think? We're already hard work reading new books to write reports on. And we have a project where we have to rewrite a nursery rhyme with bigger words (our teacher calls them quarter words). It's not as easy as it sounds. I'm doing "Baa Baa Black Sheep" and I can't think of anything for it. :/ At least it'll have a pretty border of sheep.
How were your holidays? What are some of your favorite traditions?
